This year, our dairy spouses will enjoy breakfast and hear from Katie Hammock, also known as “The Dairy Wife”. Katie is married to a dairy farmer in Virginia and is also a trauma nurse in the Emergency Room. In her presentation titled “Where Medicine Meets Agriculture,” she’ll discuss what to do in the event of a farm emergency and how you can best be prepared for when a farm accident occurs. Breakfast buffet will be available at 8:30 AM with the presentation from Katie to follow. Katie Hammock is an experienced Emergency Room nurse with seven years of dedicated service
at a Level 1 Trauma Center in southern Virginia. A resident of Museville, Virginia, Katie lives
on a dairy farm with her husband and two children. Witnessing the devastating consequences of
farm accidents firsthand, Katie is driven by a deep passion to merge her expertise in emergency
medicine with her love for agriculture.

Katie's workshops equips individuals with key tools regarding pre-hospital first aid, providing
valuable tips and tricks to increase confidence in emergency situations. Through sharing real-life
